Halloween 2009

Yay!!!! It's Halloween and Mommy's birthday I'm excited!!

So today I turned 24 years old! Here is my sundae at Baskin Robbins... we decided not to go with the traditional style of cake. And we did light the candles.

She really does smile ALL the time, it's just being able to capture it.

Up on base (Hill) it seems people really get into halloween they go all out decorating. It's a great place to go.

So we only went to like 4 houses, but it was about the memories not the candy

So here's her costume, I already know she's cute. And thanks Nonnie for sending it. I was going to make her a bunny but this is sooo cute too.



Baby's first Halloween. So next year we are going to Disneyland for my birthday. I'm so excited. I get in free for my birthday, Royce is free and Josh will volunteer next year to get a free pass (part of Disney's new way- volunteer a day get a free day at Disneyland). Plus Denise already offered us to stay with her again. So really it's just gas, food and fun stuff! Disneyland decorates their park during Halloween- how exciting.

Massage and Pumpkin Patch

This is has been a super LONG day. It started out wonderful with Janine paying for a massage for my birthday.... and then things just didn't go nearly as wonderful as I had planned. Anyway it's so late and I don't even want to get into it. I just wish I could take my entire family and move out of this state! Anyway, mom I wanted you to see some new pictures of Royce so I'll just leave it at that. Hope you enjoy them :)

P.S. we found a big enough pumpkin to put Royce in... it's kinda green but we'll post pictures of that later!

Janine Visit Day 2

This one is a good smile- we went to Coffee Break in SLC. Janine loved the place. It used to be a popular hangout when Josh and I were dating and even with friends before I met him. Then I took her up to the VA Hospital (where I work) so she could see where I work and all that jazz.

So I figured since Janine was in Utah I should at least take her to see the LDS Temple- if anything it's very pretty even I don't agree or believe with the church's teachings. Janine said she got a good vibe from the temple.

Seriously once she sees the camera she gets this serious, inquisitive look... and trying to get a picture of her smiling is near impossible. Enjoy anyway!

Ahhhh, sleep...

Royce slept through the entire night last night- 8 hours!!

Josh fed her and rocked her for a while, but not to the point where she fell asleep. Then we put her in her crib awake, she doesn't even cry, I think she knows its bedtime and we check on her 10 minutes later and she is asleep.

I was planning on it being my turn to get up with her around 3 am.. and my internal clock went off at 3:30 when I hadn't heard from her .. so I just went back to bed expecting some cries soon... and nothing. At 5am WE actually woke her up to fed her and get her ready for the day.

I hope when she gets teeth it doesn't interrupt this awesome sleep pattern we have for her.

Also this weekend we both got to sleep in to 9:30, Royce allowed it and we only got up with her twice during the night to feed her. I was happy when I looked at the clock and saw 9:30am.. so I go to her crib and shes awake and just smiling.

Some notes to remember. Royce is a lady bug (love bug for Halloween- so cute)

My birthday is ON halloween. We won't be celebrating with Josh's family like normal this year... probably not next either because I told Josh next year we're going to Disneyland for my birthday and he seemed good with that! Royces first time, even though she won't remember. More reasons to go back again.

Newlyweds Sarah and Kyle stayed with us Friday night and Saturday afternoon we took them out to lunch to try and make up for us missing their wedding last month. We still love you guys! You are welcome ANYTIME!
