Big Ass Show

USANA Amphitheater .... I haven't been to a concert in soooo long and I don't think I've ever been with Josh. It was a blast. There were a ton of bands but we were mainly there for Offspring and Red Jump Suit Apparatus ... but I heard a couple new bands and I was really impressed.

We actually bought seats close to the stage but we loved the lawn and only went to our seats during Offspring so we could get a better view. I was impressed by how closely they watched people sit in the right spot and stuff and checked ticket stubs. Which made me feel good because we paid extra to get those seats.

Laying out on the lawn during Red Jump Suit Apparatus and Unwritten Law. It was gorgeous weather at night it dropped to about 77 degrees... it was perfect!

Flying by... sorta

I can’t believe I’m already 33 weeks! I’m not going to say this pregnancy has flown by but these last few weeks are definitely creeping up on us. I ordered Royce’s cute rocking chair- it’s so adorable in her room. Her bedding came as well for her crib, it’s very good quality and I got a killer deal off eBay for it. It retails for $260- got a 13 piece brand new set for $70 (that's with shipping). We’re in the process of hanging the curtains, decorating the walls, painting the walls, washing and folding all her cute dresses and skirts. This weekend we're going to Ikea to get her dresser and nightstand. We’re both so excited and have so much love waiting for her. I get my next and final ultrasound in 3 more weeks. I love seeing her in the womb- I wish I could have an ultrasound every time. Doctor appointments are starting to become more and more frequent. They measure my fundal height and she's always exactly on target- to a T almost. I'm not RH negative, nor do I have diabetes or anything... it's been a really smooth healthy pregnancy. The worst part has been the heart burn and that only came on a few weeks ago.

I still feel like there is a ton to do and sometimes feel so overwhelmed. I’ve been approved to take 8 weeks off work after she’s born- wonder if I’ll be going stir crazy by the end of 8 weeks or what. I also wonder if I’ll work up until the day I deliver. So far it hasn’t been that bad- if my job required a lot more standing or physical activity I might not be doing as well, but since I mostly sit during the day I manage quite well. School starts for us again next monday and runs until about end of July. I told my instructors that I might miss a few classes to deliver. I love Park University because they are accustomed to working with military and are really flexible when it comes to things. I know people might think I'm crazy for going to school knowing I'll be going into labor but I'm really anxious to get this degree done... I'll have 88 credits come the end of this next semester(July) and I really need to get my bachelors degree. Although nowadays a bachelors doesn't mean much of anything- you need at least a masters to be a LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) and a doctorate to be a psychologist. The best part though is I haven't paid a dime - while active duty tuition was covered 100% and now I use the G.I.- and they pay above and beyond the tuition cost. It's a great deal- I'm a huge supporter of joining the military. There are so many great benefits. Our kids will have two options when they turn 18- join the military or go to college.

Two of my cousins recently had babies as well- both boys! Come to think of it, there hasn’t been a baby girl in the family (either side) in a long time. Last one, Lexi? I hear a lot of first time moms are very protective and possessive of their first born- I see me being that way. Kaeley is nearly 7 so this is kinda all new for Josh as well. He's a bit out of practice. But I've watched him with his kids over the years and I know he's going to be amazing to Royce. He's so loving and helpful- I couldn't imagine having children with anyone else. Actually I never wanted kids until I met Josh ... and that was only a few years ago!

Just threw up in the trash can next to me at work…eh, it happens… it happens quite a bit. It just comes quickly and I don’t have time to make it to the bathroom. I wonder if I’ll have to have a c section. I haven’t gained much weight during this pregnancy so if I don’t have a lot of amniotic fluid in there, it’s possible. I was happy this weekend to find that my summer shorts still fit me- they just sit below my belly. I don't even need maternity wear or fat people clothes. And if I keep gaining weight like I've been it won't take long to be back into my regular clothes.

I’m excited for my next baby shower that Katey is throwing for me!! And that's my rant for the day :)

Josh's super early birthday present

I told him he pulled a "Matt face" and he replied with... where do you think he got it from...

So Josh's birthday is in umm... 3 months? August 11... he's been asking for an Ipod Touch for a while... and just didn't think he could wait any longer. So tonight we went out and got this as an early birthday present... it does everything the iphone does except make phone calls... it's sweet. I can see why the Iphone is so popular now- it's awesome! Enjoy baby! :0) I love you.

Some photos

Handsome Josh :x)
So the last belly shot I posted was 26 1/2 weeks.. this is now 32 1/2 ... I think my belly button is about to pop out... eeek... what's exciting though is the shorts I'm wearing aren't even maternity they just sit so low
So when we babysit nephew's we let them play with knives... :P (completely supervised though)

Royce's Room

Well with Royce here in 2 months it's time to start getting her room ready. We moved the girls down to the basement- so now they have their own huge room! I recently ordered this cute rocking chair for her. My mom actually bought it (thanks mom!). Everyone says I shouldn't get such gender specific colors- but I hope she can still have it in her room even when he's 8 or 9... as her reading chair. Plus you can actually change the fabric colors. This is going to be great for bedtime stories.

And this is the bedding I ordered for her crib- it's a 13 piece set. I know she probably doesn't need things like a diaper stacker or toy bag- but hey, it comes with the set. I wanted to get something that she can grow into rather than grow out of.
I've only had 2 ultrasounds and the last one was February 24th and I don't get my next one until June 18th... I'd be so sad if they told me it was actually a boy ...
For the moms out there- should I invest in a mobile? Does it make a difference or is it just for more aesthetic purposes?

Philip's 1st Birthday Party

Yum... I think I'll get as messy as possible for mom and dad

Happy 1st birthday buddy!!

Opening his birthday gifts

The smallest soccer ball ever- this was our gift to him. Nancy said he likes balls... and he really does

Happy mom's day!!

We wanted to do something for Josh's mom (since we live nearby)- our first idea was to send her flowers... and we thought that's already been done. Then we remembered last year how wonderful her flower beds outside her house looked. So I suggested we buy her flowers to plant outside... then we got even more creative and decided to put our gardening skills to use and actually plant them.

So here's the before...
We planted cascading petunias and purple pansies..

And after...
Lexi was a great help! We realized in this adventure that flowers are expensive... and we didn't get to plant as many as we would have liked but we figured it was a start ..

To all the moms out there, but especially mine and Josh's, Happy Mother's Day!! You both are wonderful moms and even better Grandma's! We're both so lucky to have you as our moms and mother-in-laws and our kids are blessed to have such involved and loving Grandma's. With love from both of us!!!

Dunes

Josh went riding this weekend up in Idaho with some buddies. He hadn't been in over a year so I figured it'd be good for him to get out and ride. They spent 3 hours riding up there and only maybe an 1 1/2 of riding- a lot of the bikes were having issues. Overall he had a great time. Reminds me of the dunes in southern Oregon...

Kiddos

The girls surprised me and picked me these flowers. They are such sweet girls. Josh wanted to get a picture of us with the flowers.

Ssshh this is Dallen's birthday gift from us. We bought a used pocket bike for him and as a project Dallen and his dad are working on completley restoring and making this bike look brand new. We ordered new plastics and a motor for him and Josh is teaching his son how to put the bike together and all the mechanical details. More pictures to come when it's completely finished.

Kaeley is now missing both her front teeth. She's getting more beautiful and mature each day.

A lot of people have been so generous in getting us things for the baby. My friend from NYC bought us a infant tub and had it shipped all the way out here. A doctor at my work purchased this swing because he remembered how much his son loved having a swing as a baby.

I only took this picture of Dallen's soccer game on Saturday- it was raining like crazy so I sat with the girls in the car most of the game. I hope to get more pictures in 2 weeks when we go to his next game. Dallen looked sharp out there though :)
