San Diego Weekend

We spent the weekend in San Diego- it was nice to get some salt air but I'm kind of bummed about how much we were nickel and dimed between the hotel and rental car plus Delta now charges $25 per bag!

Royce's first time at the beach- she was kind of weird about it. Not really happy or sad except when she fell face first in the water... she freaked out then

I really wanted to see the U.S.S. Midway especially since it was Memorial Day Weekend. The plane I'm standing next to is the E-2 Hawkeye, it's a surveillance aircraft similar to what I did in the Air Force.... we learned about them so at any rate I was excited to see one. The one thing I was diappointed in was not being able to see below deck, I really am interested in the entire ship, especially sleeping quarters, etc ... they never let you see that stuff, huh


So smiley- it was a nice get away but an exhausting trip overall.

Dallen 10th Birthday

We celebrated Dallen's 10th birthday yesterday. His actual birthday is on Tuesday the 18th. We are sending treats home with him so he can pass them out to his class. After wards we are taking him to Sizzler (his #1 choice) for a birthday dinner.


He had a great turn out! The first portion of his party consisted of having 2 of his friends (unfortunately some other couldn't make it) go to boondocks (a fun center) and played laser tag. After they decided they would rather have more money and use it at the nickelcade instead of playing at the Boondocks arcade which is a rip off!

Here's a portion of some of the people at his party. Dallen's wanted a basketball theme party. The family and friends came over at 5 and we had pizza, bread sticks and a basketball ice cream cake. He got alot of fun presents... our gifts to him were a big black footlocker (this kid loves places to keep his sentimental items), walkie talkies, and NERF Wii game, also Breanna and Kaeley got his a game- 'Life'

We're still working on her room.. throughout the weekend but I added a personal touch with her name

Poor baby fell against the fireplace glass.... I didn't realize she had really burned herself until an hour after it happened when we were in the bath. As soon as i realized i immediately got her out of the warm bath and then googled 'burns' to figure out what to do..

Josh got and hung a hummingbird feeder, bird feeder, and 3 hanging flower pots... only 2 are hung though!! The other one is on the table

Playing in her room... we still haven't put the wainscoting on the wall and I bought letters for her name to hang so once we're finished i will post before and after pics of her room.... it will look amazing
I love not having to dress her in a million pieces of clothes 1 dress and she's done!
