Royce's Room

Well with Royce here in 2 months it's time to start getting her room ready. We moved the girls down to the basement- so now they have their own huge room! I recently ordered this cute rocking chair for her. My mom actually bought it (thanks mom!). Everyone says I shouldn't get such gender specific colors- but I hope she can still have it in her room even when he's 8 or 9... as her reading chair. Plus you can actually change the fabric colors. This is going to be great for bedtime stories.

And this is the bedding I ordered for her crib- it's a 13 piece set. I know she probably doesn't need things like a diaper stacker or toy bag- but hey, it comes with the set. I wanted to get something that she can grow into rather than grow out of.
I've only had 2 ultrasounds and the last one was February 24th and I don't get my next one until June 18th... I'd be so sad if they told me it was actually a boy ...
For the moms out there- should I invest in a mobile? Does it make a difference or is it just for more aesthetic purposes?

Yes, get a mobile. It helps with hand/eye coordination. And they love looking at them!

I used mobiles with all my kids. Ours is a pastel colored thing with classical music. I love it. They (who's 'they' anyway?) say the best kind have black, white and red colors. Babies respond best to bold, contrasting colors. Kalli and Megan loved the mobile. Ty, not so much. I would definitely get one!

My babies loved mobiles. They need the stimulation. It gets boring just laying there.

Cute stuff! Girls are so much fun... I decked out Maddy's room in pink princess stuff when she was born! I guess I'm the odd ball who never used mobiles with my kids... They have survived so far, but the are definitely cute and useful for a few months at least!
