A little update

Surprise- Surprise- Dallen is actually the best with Royce

Ladybug Converse- still a little big for her

Got this toy at Ikea- it's nice to go simple and skip all these new electronic toys

So we're finally getting more settled. I hate moving, we have moved 4 times since we got married. It's comforting to know that we can really settle down because we're not going anywhere for a while. Last night we went to Ikea to buy stuff for Royce and Kaeley's room. Kaeley is getting an entirely new room (aside from the mattress), she didn't know we went so when the kids came over today her eyes lit up when she saw what we got her. She often feels like the one who comes in last so it was nice to give her the feeling of fulfilling a promise. If that makes sense.

We bought paint for both the girls room but while unloading the truck Kaeley's lime green paint splattered all over the driveway, fortunately the ground was went so we were able to clean it all up without leaving a stain. Anyway my project is to complete Kaeley's bedroom before my parents come on Thursday.

We had the kids today and we lounged around. We hadn't seen them in a couple weeks and there was a recent misunderstanding over the phone about a week ago that caused a lot of hurt feelings. But all was good today. I guess the kids mom is a floater again like before so she didn't get the set schedule she was promised so the kids are staying home by themselves a lot more while she works. I told them they are welcome anytime and I will come get them (they now like 2.5 miles away from us). We'll see what happens....there are a lot of power struggles when it comes to the kids and unfortunately it only hurts the kids. Anyway I'm babbling and could probably write a book about all the drama.

Royce is doing wonderful and recently hit the 9 month mark. But, we find her throwing more crying fits when we take things away from her or tell her no, but Josh and I have discussed our course of discipline and we will follow through. Even now she is learning we mean business. For example she will stand up in the tub and I tell her if she wants to stay in the tub she has to sit down. So I plop her back down .... then ...she stands back up again, so I have no choice but to end the bath and pull her out. Even though she can't speak now and may not understand my words she will learn the routine hopefully. It's never too early to be consistent. Royce loves her routines and thrives when it's followed.... Okay I'm babbling again. Alright Josh needs the computer (he thinks I'm doing homework, haha). I'll post more pics later of the house and girls room.

P.S. I ABSOLUTELY love our gas fireplace. K, have a great weekend and Happy Easter but we're not celebrating, I did get Royce an Easter basket with 2 adorable summer dresses and an educational video, the candy is for me. We will probably end up at our old place cleaning... yay!
