Life

So, I have cute new pics and videos but now I can’t find the camera USB cord to upload them! Ahhh, well as soon as I find that I will put more pics on here. Last night Royce only woke up once, yay! Josh fed her at 9pm and we put the baby in her bed and she didn’t wake up until 2am! That’s a record 5 hours. There is hope after all. The worst part isn’t waking up; it’s having trouble getting back to sleep. I never had this problem before. I think it’s’ caused by the anxiety that I know I only have a couple more hours before the alarm goes off, whereas before I could sleep in later (so long as the baby allowed it).

Royce’s daycare is working out extremely well. I’m so happy we found heather; she is very loving and organized. She sends me daily pictures and updates on my phone and everyday when Josh picks her up, she provides us with a summary of her day; like what time her diaper was changed and the contents, and then feeding times and amounts. She tells me her youngest daughter, Emma (2 years), just loves Royce (and her tiny feet) and is very helpful. She also just got another kid but he is 3 years old so there is a good balance of ages and no jealousy factors. What’s best about Heather is she doesn’t charge us when Royce isn’t there. Everyone else we called would still charge for the day to hold her spot, plus they were asking roughly $170 MORE a month. And in Royce’s situation she gets a lot of attention. I would hate to know I took my baby to a daycare facility and she was just lined up in a row of babies waiting for their turn.

Royce is such a smiley baby. She’s funny because she will be so fussy, so we pick her up, thinking she’s probably hungry. She plays around on the bottle for a few minutes, not really eating, and then she gives us this HUGE smile. It’s almost like HAHA, I got you! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention; she had her 2 month appointment and she now weighs 12 lbs 4 oz, my goodness. She has doubled her birth weight in 2 months. She better slow down or I’ll have a toddler here soon!

ALSO, I am finally a senior in college. Okay it’s only taken 4 years but I have 94 credits… only 26 more to go! But nowadays it doesn’t seem like you can do much of anything with a Bachelors degree, so I plan to continue into a master’s program in social work. I love my communications teacher this semester; he is a new teacher and a retired Chief from the Air Force. He is very intelligence and insightful. I am learning a lot from him. I can look back on interpersonal communication I have done in the past and where everything went awry. Recently there was a huge communication breakdown, but right now I am just looking back to reflect on the situation and, in a sense, analyze how it could be resolved or how it could have gone better. I heard a great theory yesterday that “Hurting people hurt people.” It makes a lot of sense. Anyway, things will work themselves one way or another… but probably not anytime soon.

We are SO alike...yet so different...thats what I love most about you and our friendship. I love that we are both going to be in the social work field...and hopefully when you move up here we could possibly work together! That would be awesome.

Im glad I finally got a new phone...I could receive texts, but no calls, and i couldnt text or call anyone. I made sure that my payments were up to date, and they were, so I had to take my phone in and get another one.

And, I am SO extremely excited to FINALLY come and see you and the family! Its completely official...all I have to do now is go over to my moms house and book the ticket, everything else is taken care of. I got work off already and everything! Im SO excited. I feel like its so long overdue.

Anyway, Im going to write you an email about what happened with the domestic violence situation.

I love you best friend....I dont know what I would do without you....you are seriously the best friend I have EVER EVER had. I appreciate and love you so much!
